This Iron Mountain dutch oven with lid was made by the Griswold Mfg. Co in Erie PA in the 1940s.
It has the pattern number of 1036 with the matching lid pattern number of 1037.
It has the heat ring, bailed handle and an assist. There is no Griswold logo but the slanted pattern number is the distinctive indicator of an Iron Mountain pan.
The dutch oven is 10 1/4" in diameter (without the handles), 12 1/8" in diameter WITH the handles and 4" tall.
The bottom is marked 8 and 1036B. The bottom sits flat.
The inside of the cover is marked 1037 and has an 8 on the top. It sits flat on a table.
This dutch oven with matching lid is used, has some wear and stains but it has been cleaned and seasoned - ready to use.
